From a destination idea to a useful enquiry.

Use this checklist to organise your research. Ticking a step records your progress here; it does not make a booking. Your selections clear when you leave or reload this page.

Metres or feet?

Convert a length for an enquiry. This is a unit conversion, not a navigation or berth-clearance calculation. Confirm the required vessel measurement with the provider.

Enter a value from 0 to 100,000. Results are rounded to three decimal places.

Enter a length to see the conversion.

Plan a marina stay budget

Use your own figures to estimate a stay in Australian dollars. This is arithmetic, not a marina quotation or availability check. Rates, tax, deposits and discounts are not added automatically.

Use the amount the marina gave you, including any tax you want included.
Whole nights only, from 0 to 3,650.
Charged once for the stay. Enter 0 if none.
Add all extras together first. This amount is added once, not every night.

Enter valid amounts and a whole number of nights to see the estimate.

Build a clearer enquiry

Gather the details a marine business needs to start a conversation. All fields are optional; include what you know and describe observations without guessing the cause.

For example: when the issue appeared, relevant equipment details and questions for the provider. Up to 2,000 characters.

Review the wording and add relevant photographs when you contact the business. Nothing is sent automatically.

Before you use the results

Is the marina total an actual quotation?

No. The planner multiplies the nightly amount you enter by the number of nights, then adds your one-off charges and total extras once. Ask the marina which charges, taxes, deposits or discounts apply, and confirm availability and the final written price directly.

Which boat measurement should I convert?

Use the measurement the provider requests. Length overall, beam and draft describe different dimensions; converting units does not determine suitability or clearance. Our beam glossary entry explains the width measurement. The tool rounds the conversion to three decimals.

Does the enquiry builder send my details?

No. It creates a draft in your browser for you to review and copy. It does not send messages, save a customer record or book work. Use the business’s published contact details when you are ready to enquire.
