## Man-overboard recovery, not just flotation
Most safety suppliers stop at keeping someone afloat. SOS Marine's own range is built around the hard part: **finding and getting a person back on board**. The Dan Buoy marks the person in the water, and the Rescue Ladder and Rescue LOG help crews recover them. That matters most short-handed, when one person may be doing the recovery.
## The story
SOS Marine began as a retailer and fitted out more than 90% of Sydney Harbour's 18-footer fleet and two of the world's maxi racing yachts. It then moved into manufacturing. Its lifejackets are made to ISO 12402 by an ISO 9001 manufacturer, and it has supplied Australia's Department of Defence for around 20 years.
## Good to know
Inflatable lifejackets need regular servicing to stay reliable: check the gas cylinder, the firing head and the bladder. SOS Marine can service them for you, and it's worth booking before the offshore season.
